Start with public research. Connect Apple only when you need sync.

docs

RankPal opens with a short product tour, then license activation. You can add apps and credentials later inside the Mac app.

Setup flow

  1. Watch the product tour: RankPal shows the keyword, competitor, screenshot, pricing, and publishing workflow before asking for a license.
  2. Activate your license: Paste the Dodo license key from checkout. RankPal verifies it and remembers the activation on your Mac.
  3. Add or search an app: Search by App Store URL, app name, or app ID. Public App Store research works without Apple credentials.
  4. Connect Apple when needed: Add App Store Connect or Apple Search Ads credentials only when you need private sync, publishing, prices, or campaign reports.

Record these first

These docs are ready for short videos. Each one should show one complete workflow from question to decision.

  • keyword workflow: Add a keyword, read rank movement, check metadata coverage, and scan countries.
  • competitor workflow: Open a competitor, inspect listing changes, screenshots, ratings, and traction clues.
  • screenshot workflow: Create screenshot sets, localize captions, and prepare App Store exports.
  • private sync: Show what works without Apple credentials and what App Store Connect unlocks.
  • weekly ASO loop: Research, edit metadata, refresh rankings, and decide the next move.
  • apple ads loop: Use paid search terms to choose organic metadata targets.

What works without Apple credentials?

RankPal can do public App Store research before you connect any Apple account. You can look up competitor apps, inspect public metadata, plan keyword targets, review screenshot strategy, and build an ASO plan without giving RankPal private access.

Apple credentials are only needed when you want private account data or publishing workflows: Apple Ads campaign reports, App Store Connect metadata editing, screenshot upload preparation, subscription pricing, in-app purchases, and territory price changes.
